Memory Hole
We, as you know, have now entered into a digital age; a time when the existence of a hard-copy set of encyclopedia’s has become an endangered species seldom seen in the overgrown stacks of books in any given high school library. Curiously, I have a set of encyclopedias in the attic from the 1950’s and the information they contain about WWII is far different than what we might see in 1980’s editions of the same books or any given day on the History Channel.
I would venture to speculate that in this day and age much information is not even recorded in a hard paper copy anywhere on the planet. This fact alone has done wonders for “Ministry of Truth”; simplifying the task of editing history. Not that it would matter much to most people; they will just believe whatever information is put out on any given subject on any given day. When yesterday’s information gets “memory holed” by tomorrows replacement “facts” the masses won’t even notice, let alone care.
For those of us paying attention, the fact that it is happening is an alert to the more extreme socialist policies on the horizon.
